About Us

My Saviour’s Church (English) was founded as Acts Centre, an extension centre of St. Andrew’s Cathedral on October 10th, 2004. After many years of moving from location to location, the congregation finally found a permanent home, ministry and community with My Saviour’s Church (MSC) and was inaugurated as the English congregation of My Saviour's Church on August 9th, 2020. My Saviour’s Church is a parish of the Anglican Diocese of Singapore.

Our History

Birth of Acts Centre
in Acts Lifestyle Book Shop

2004

Started as an extension of St. Andrews Cathedral on 10 October 2004 at Acts Lifestyle Book Shop under founding priest, Revd Ng Koon Sheng

Moved to St Margaret’s Secondary School’s Performing Arts Studio

2012

We held our first confirmation service together with St John’s Chapel. Members of our youth group and those whom we reached out and settled in Acts Centre from our work at CITY Community Services were confirmed

2013 - Revd Michael Lim took over the church leadership

2019

Initiated the integration with My Saviour's Church

St. Andrew’s Cathedral and My Saviour’s Church passed the resolution for Acts Centre to become the English Congregation of My Saviour’s Church

2009

Moved to SPRING Singapore Auditorium, Bukit Merah Central

Worked with CITY Community Services to do outreach to primary schools with its Befrienders’ Club programme

2016

Moved to My Saviour’s Church

First Sunday service on Palm Sunday, March 20th, 2016. For the first time, Acts Centre had a permanent home

Outreach programmes during the Holy Week, Christmas and anniversary celebrations of Acts Centre including participation in Diocesan Outreach, mission trips to Ho Chi Minh City, Alpha and others

2020

Inauguration as the new English Congregation of My Saviour's Church

On July 3rd 2020, a letter from Bishop Rennis Ponniah was sent to Vicars of St. Andrew’s Cathedral and My Saviours’ Church to confirm Acts Centre, together with the existing MSC English Fellowship, will officially form the English Congregation of My Saviour’s Church with effect from August 9, 2020

2023

2023, December - Revd Michael Lim retires as priest of the English Congregation. Ps Christopher Ng is appointed as Anchor Pastor of the English Congregation.

2024

Ps Christopher Ng is ordained as a Deacon and leaves to take up a new appointment at St. John's Chapel.
Ps. Louis Leong takes over as Anchor Pastor of the English Congregation.
